Malaria is a vector-borne infectious disease caused by a protozoan parasite of the genus Plasmodium, which is transmitted from human to human by the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. In three animated videos we explain the disease, mosquito biology and a how a team of researchers is developing a technology to win this fight with genetic engineering.
